Standard Wildlife Safaris
Depart Arusha after breakfast and journey south to Tarangire National Park, about a 2-hour drive. Known for its dramatic landscape of baobab trees and winding rivers, the park is a haven for elephants—often seen in large family herds. You’ll begin your game drive immediately, scanning for giraffes, zebras, ostriches, and predators hidden in the brush.
Lunch will be a delicious picnic served in the heart of the park, offering scenic views while you dine. Your guide will then take you deeper into the park’s seasonal swamps and riverbanks before you exit in the late afternoon. You’ll head to your lodge near the park boundary, where you’ll enjoy a warm dinner and rest under the stars.

After breakfast, depart for the Central Serengeti via the highlands of Ngorongoro. The drive is long but incredibly scenic, passing through villages, rolling hills, and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll arrive in the Serengeti by early afternoon and begin your first game drive immediately.
The Central Serengeti is teeming with wildlife year-round. Expect to see lions resting on kopjes, cheetahs on the hunt, elephants grazing, and herds of wildebeest and zebras. You’ll arrive at your camp just before sunset, where you’ll enjoy a bush dinner and the sounds of nature all around.
Into the Wild Tented Camp
Start the day with a pre-dawn breakfast followed by a sunrise game drive, the best time to see predators on the move. You may encounter lions stalking prey, leopards lounging in acacia trees, or hyenas scavenging. Depending on the season, you might also witness dramatic moments of the Great Migration.
Return to camp for lunch and a bit of rest, or opt for a full-day game drive with a packed picnic. The Serengeti offers endless photographic opportunities, and your guide will tailor the day to maximize your experience. Return to camp in the evening for another delicious meal and storytelling by the campfire.
Into the Wild Tented Camp
After breakfast and one last short game drive in the Serengeti, begin the journey to Ngorongoro. Along the way, you can stop at Olduvai Gorge (optional), an archaeological site where some of the earliest human fossils were discovered. Afterward, continue toward the crater rim, where you’ll arrive in time for a relaxing evening.
The lodge at Ngorongoro is perched on the forested crater rim, often visited by wildlife like bushbucks and buffalo. The high altitude offers cooler temperatures and stunning views. After a warm shower and hearty meal, relax by the fireplace or on your veranda.
Rhino Lodge
Wake up early for a thrilling descent into the Ngorongoro Crater — often referred to as Africa’s “Eden.” The floor of this massive volcanic caldera is home to over 25,000 animals including rhinos, elephants, buffalo, zebras, and an unusually high concentration of lions. The enclosed ecosystem supports diverse habitats, from forests to marshes and open plains.
After a picnic lunch by a hippo pool, ascend from the crater and drive to Lake Eyasi, a remote area nestled at the foot of the Rift Valley escarpment. You’ll arrive at your camp in time for sunset. Enjoy a quiet evening in this culturally rich area.
