Our cancellation Overview

If you need to cancel your tour, please notify us in writing. The following terms apply based on
When we receive your cancellation notice:

  • More than 1 Month Before Tour Start Date:
    • The full deposit paid is non-refundable.
  • 1 Month or Less Before Tour Start Date (or No Show):
  • The full tour cost will be charged.
  • Unused Portions of the Tour:
    • No refunds will be given for any part of the program you do not use. If you do not complete your tour for any reason, there will be no refund for missed activities.
  • After Payment of the Full Tour Cost:
    • Cancellations within one week after your payment has been processed: 75% refund of the total amount paid.
  • Cancellations 4 Weeks to 2 Months Before Tour Start Date:
    • A 50% refund will be issued.
  • Non-Refundable Deposit:
    • A 30% deposit is required for booking accommodations and is non-refundable. However, if you choose to reschedule your tour within one year of your original departure date, this deposit can be applied to a future tour with ECO TRAIL EXPEDITION as long as you book and travel within that one-year period in Tanzania.
  • Wire Transfer Fees:
    • Any refunds will be subject to applicable wire transfer fees.
  • Completed Tours:
    • No refunds will be issued for any part of the program that has already been completed.
Alterations to Tours
  • Changes to the Itinerary:
    Adjustments to routes or accommodations may be made to benefit the client based on changing conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Subcontracting:
    We may subcontract all or part of the tour services to third parties to ensure the best experience.
  • Vehicle Replacement and Compensation:
    In case of a vehicle breakdown or other issues, we will replace the vehicle and compensate for lost time by extending safari hours or adding extra days.
  • Accommodation Changes:
    Accommodations may be substituted with alternatives of similar quality and standard, if necessary.
Insurance and Risk Acknowledgement

Our tours are adventure safaris, which involve inherent risks and challenges. While every precaution is taken for safety and comfort, the company cannot accept liability for:

  1. Loss or Damage to Property:
    • The company is not liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings, regardless of the cause.
  2. Health and Safety Risks:
    • The company is not responsible for any illness, injury, infection, or death during the tour.
  3. Itinerary Changes:
    • Changes due to unforeseen road conditions or weather are beyond the company’s control.
  4. Delays:
    • The company is not liable for delays affecting departure, arrival, or missed connections (road, rail, sea, or air).
  5. War and Unforeseen Disasters:
    • The company is not liable for rare events like war or other calamities during the safari.
  6. Unexpected Situations:
    • Unexpected circumstances may result in a shortened or canceled trip. Due to operator commitments, cancellations after booking may result in penalties, including the loss of the entire package price.
Travel Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance from your country. This protects against unforeseen situations and provides peace of mind. Travel insurance is available online from various providers for a reasonable fee.

Liability
  • Intermediary Role:
    The company and its agents act solely as intermediaries for the services provided during the tour.
  • Agreement to Terms:
    Making a payment confirms that you have read, understood, and agreed to the booking terms and conditions.
