- Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park – Overnight in Central Serengeti
Your day starts with an early departure from Arusha as you head west toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. Along the way, pass through the Ngorongoro Highlands and enjoy scenic vistas, Maasai villages, and optional stops like Olduvai Gorge. By midday, you’ll enter the Serengeti and begin your game drive en route to your camp in the central Seronera region.
In the afternoon, you’ll track predators, large herds of grazers, and birdlife across the plains. The central Serengeti is known for year-round wildlife activity. After a rewarding day, arrive at your tented camp in time for a sundowner and a hearty dinner under the stars.

Day 2: Morning in Serengeti – Drive to Ngorongoro Highlands
After a sunrise breakfast, head out on a morning game drive when predators are active and light is perfect for photography. Watch for prides of lions, herds of elephants, leopards in trees, and hyenas trotting through the golden grass. Your guide will help spot and interpret wildlife behavior as you make your way toward the park exit.
Continue your journey southeast toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional cultural stops are available along the way. Arrive at your lodge near the crater rim in the late afternoon, where cooler air and breathtaking views await.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Overnight in Tarangire Area
Rise early for a full breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, a haven for wildlife and one of Africa’s most stunning natural landscapes. With its permanent water and grazing grounds, the crater floor is home to a high density of animals, including rhinos, lions, zebras, hippos, and massive tusker elephants. It’s one of the few places where you might spot all of the Big Five in a single day.
Your guide will take you across the crater floor, stopping for a scenic picnic lunch near the hippo pool. In the afternoon, you’ll ascend the crater walls and drive toward the Tarangire region, where you’ll enjoy dinner and overnight at a charming lodge nestled near the park’s boundary.

Day 4: Tarangire Game Drive – Return to Arusha
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds, the park is especially rich in wildlife during the dry season. You may also see lions, leopards, warthogs, giraffes, and over 500 species of birds. Tarangire’s terrain shifts from river valleys to open plains, making for diverse game-viewing and excellent photo opportunities.
After a relaxing picnic lunch and some last glimpses of wildlife, begin your drive back to Arusha. Expect to arrive in the late afternoon, with drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable 4-day journey through Tanzania’s top safari highlights.
