Short Safaris
After breakfast in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its stunning landscapes and one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Tanzania. Upon arrival, you’ll begin your game drive through rolling savannahs, thick acacia woodlands, and the winding Tarangire River. Watch for elephants, impalas, giraffes, ostriches, and predators like leopards and lions.
Lunch will be served picnic-style in a designated area within the park. In the afternoon, your adventure continues before exiting the park and heading into the cooler Ngorongoro Highlands. Settle in at your comfortable lodge in Karatu and enjoy dinner in a peaceful garden setting surrounded by forest.
Ngorongoro Forest Tented Lodge
After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive inside this lush wildlife sanctuary. The descent into the crater offers dramatic views, and once on the crater floor, you’ll see thriving populations of lions, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos living in close proximity. This makes Ngorongoro one of the few places where you can potentially spot all Big Five in a single game drive.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool before ascending from the crater rim and driving toward the Lake Manyara area. You’ll check in at a relaxing tented camp nestled in a tranquil forest, where you’ll enjoy a hot meal and a well-earned rest under the stars.
Migunga Tented Camp
After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Known for its alkaline lake filled with flamingos, lush groundwater forest, and escarpment cliffs, the park offers a compact but highly diverse safari experience. Tree-climbing lions are a special attraction here, as well as baboons, hippos, and a wide variety of birds.
After the game drive and lunch, begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon. Drop-off will be at your hotel or the airport, depending on your travel plans.
