A local Tanzanian tour operator born and raised in the Moshi district of the Kilimanjaro region grew up surrounded by the majestic beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest free-standing mountain. Living in a place where the towering peak was a constant companion, Joel’s passion for tourism was sparked at a young age, inspired by relatives who worked as porters and guides on the mountain. Determined to turn his passion into a career, Joel pursued a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology and tourism at the University of Iringa, graduating in 2022.
