Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, depart for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2-hour drive southwest of Arusha. Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and prolific birdlife. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive through open savannah, swamps, and riverine forests.
A picnic lunch will be served at one of the park’s scenic viewpoints. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, giraffes, leopards, and a variety of antelope species. In the late afternoon, head to your lodge just outside the park for a refreshing drink and delicious dinner.

Day 3: Tarangire to Central Serengeti via Ngorongoro Highlands

Day 4: Full-Day Serengeti Safari
Today, spend a full day discovering the wonders of the Serengeti. Begin with an early morning game drive, the ideal time to witness lions, leopards, and cheetahs before the heat sets in. With your guide’s expertise, you’ll explore kopjes, riverbeds, and open plains in search of the Big Five and other incredible animals.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Rim
After a final morning drive through the Serengeti, begin your journey toward Ngorongoro Crater. Your arrival at the crater rim brings cooler air, sweeping views, and a welcoming lodge nestled in the lush highland forest.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Flight to Zanzibar
Today’s highlight is a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater—an ecosystem teeming with over 25,000 animals in a spectacular natural amphitheater. Spot elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and maybe even the endangered black rhino in this UNESCO-listed site. After a half-day game drive and picnic lunch by a hippo pool, you’ll ascend the crater and transfer to the airstrip.
Board your scenic flight to Zanzibar and arrive on the island in time for a short transfer to your beachfront hotel on the northeast coast.
